Preparation
The College Placement Program provides a structured and well-defined pathway to guide high school athletes in successfully preparing for college recruitment. This program is designed to ensure that players not only enhance their skills on the field but also navigate the academic, athletic, and recruitment processes effectively. The program is built around five key phases, each focusing on a critical aspect of a player's journey to college:

Freshman Year
Academics
Meet with School Counselor/Advisor to evaluate your academic progress, core courses.
Get a great start on your GPA. Stay organized and on top of all studies.
Take “academic” electives — languages/mathematics/sciences.
Consider ACT and SAT / PSAT study materials and/or tutoring services.
NCAA Preparation
Register with NCAA Eligibility Center
Register with Sports Recruits– (Free for club members- contact your College Placement Program Director for login)
Create a list of potential colleges & use Sports Recruits College Search Engine
Attend College Placement Program Presentations & Workshops
Supplemental Materials
Read the NCAA publication — Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete.
Involve yourself in extracurricular activities — clubs/honors society/church group.
Soccer
Development is Priority #1
Evaluate your soccer weaknesses and work on improvement.
Meet with Coaches and create an action plan based on goals.
Practice on your own — fundamentals and ball skills.
Consider attending a college’s soccer summer camp or ID camp. In Colorado, there are many local options at Division I, II, III, NAIA, and NJCAA levels.
